My post #39 tells you how to get to trailheads using Google Maps
Once at trailhead switch to AllTrailsPro to bring up your previously downloaded trails (from home with WI-FI)
to see your trail.
Also if you get to 109 Uwharrie Trailhead. Wait for a bit and when you see a car load of backpackers about to embark Northbound on the trail, follow them if they look like deranged hammock campers!
What could go wrong!
Just kidding, the trail is marked Uwharrie Trail North, and is marked with white blazes.
If going north from 109 Trailhead, when you get close to Spencer Creek Bridge, you will cross one or two small foot bridges with no handrails.
Very soon you will arrive at Spencer Creek Bridge, a wooden bridge wide enough to get a wheelchair across, with waist high wooden hand rails.
Then you is there. And there will be hammock campers already there. Campsites on both sides of bridge.
