    yep if any body wants to do longer miles they can start at yates and head north which will be 5 or 6 ish miles

    If referring to Sept 9-11, I think I can make it that Saturday with the kids. 2 miles is a doable distance for them.

    I may join leaving from Yates to get in a few more miles. Also might tent camp (oh the horror) with my lab mixes if the group doesn’t mind a couple of food moochers joining.

    I know some are interested in more miles, but if someone wants even less than 2 miles, the trail from the West Morris Mountain Campground / Trailhead ( 35.429121, -79.995551 ) is about 1 mile from Spencer Creek.

    Hey Twistytee- I was also thinking of bringing my dog-and-people-friendly Aussie - Would that be too much craziness? Don't want to make it so your pups wouldn't like being there.
