no real story here.. Right forum?

On a work trip in the Bahamas for a couple nights until passengers are ready to return..

First time trying to sleep in a hammock other than napping at home.

Not worried or anything but too wound up or too much caffeine to sleep well. I

A little chilly around midnight so went in to condo and returned with a blanket to wrap up in. 82 f and a nice breeze, slept again until 1:30 or so when the continuous barking of a dog across the street finally made me give up and go inside. I will try again tonight possibly with Benadryl and ear plugs..

    Great breeze and sky.

Yep right forum, that’s a trip! Looks wonderful. I’d love to hear the sound of that beach all night. Amazing how cool it is (literally cool) in the evening in a hammock!

You might need to stash a light underquilt on that plane!

Yep, I thought 82 f would be warm enough but It would almost feel like someone rubbed a piece of ice down my back every so often with the breeze. Not that cold I know but enough to give me a little chill.

I tried to upload a short video but It won’t take it.. maybe because it was filmed with an iphone? I almost always use iphone or ipad and hardly ever drag out my laptop…

I made it through the night although I had to put my tarp back out at 2:15 when I woke up to some rain sprinkling… Only took a couple minutes to deploy from snake skins.. No dog barking this time… Didn’t think it would rain and so I rolled up the tarp to enjoy the night sky and stars…

Wow, Had not heard of that tree. These were Royal Palms I think and withstood the Hurricane at Abaco in the Bahamas..

It's wild how the wind can bring the chill, even in the tropics. No matter how warm it is, I need an under quilt.

Where at in Abaco? One of my favorite vacations was on Tilloo Cay. We were in the process of setting up another trip when the hurricane hit. Eventually I'll make it back there.
