Question for VT Hammock campers

A buddy and I are looking to hammock camp and fish up in Vermont in November. It seems most places shut down the end of October. Any recommendations would be appreciated! Looking to car camp close to a lake if we can't get right on one. Public or private camping is ok. Thanks for the help!
