Contingent on being able to tolerate tonight's test hang in the backyard without my repaired shoulder keeping me up all night in pain, I'm going to plan on hanging Saturday night.

If I can't last the night tonight, then I'll just come visit for the day (and dinner) on Saturday.

I'm planning on grabbing wood for the group fire in the morning should be enough for atleast Friday night. If we need more we can take up a collection and grab more locally Saturday. Temps are looking warm for the weekend so only need bigger fire in the evenings.

Spent the entire afternoon cooking collard greens, black-eyed peas, and making salsa verde. My beagle Joey was especially interested when I cooked some bacon (collard greens and black-eyed peas need bacon fat - sorry, vegetarians).

My son Rocco made two hot sauces - habanero and serrano, from peppers he grew in his garden. I've only tried the habanero - not very spicy for my palate. Then again, I'm a pepper addict so somebody else might find it too spicy!
