    Autumn Outdoor Gear

Check out Anne Maries's new Birch Buckles. Nice design, IMHO.

I guess I really want to know if anyone has experience with both these and Superior Hammocks cinch buckle.

I chose these over the Superior buckle because they seem to function in exactly the same manner in a sleeker design. I do not have the Superior item to compare to, but I can't see where it would outperform these. The features that they both incorporate is the ability to loosen the webbing relatively easily and to be able to leave the buckle on the strap and detach the hammock's CL. Being aluminum, neither is as compact as Dutch's Beetle Buckles but for my purposes with the hammock I will use this suspension with, that is not an issue. The larger pieces are slightly easier to manipulate. FWIW, I do use Beetle Buckles on another hammock/suspension.

Thanks for the information. I am seriously considering getting these.

The Birch Buckles are really great. The adjust smoothly and fit the bill as a great piece of hardware. I do use Beetle buckles in another setup as well, but find the Birch Buckles are much easier to adjust.

I'm not into hardware but the Birch Buckle is a really simple and elegant design.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I’m out of stock for a little bit but should have them back in a few weeks.
