I use them on my straps so I can stuff them in the Clark Flap on my NX-200. Tried them once on the lines but I had to cut them short........they work just have to modify!!!

Planius, I thought you were on to something and then Scott came along and stole all your thunder. Those mini Exped line sacks are slick.

I just stuff them in my tarp dring. I like the idea, but i just can't justify the weight if what im doing is already working. yea, im sure they will be in the AHE shop soon!!! great idea though, im sure it will work for most of the people here.
I am a GIRL! not a "He" well, I'm a woman really...
Anyways, plaunius, can I get you to make me some since it was really MY idea!
I don't have the hardware/tools for that creation. But it was exactly what I was envisioning.
Pretty please.... with a cherry on top. I would pay you for it. I need 8 for my winter dream I dream under. I like the j slot. My JRB lines would squeeze right into that.
I WILL resort to begging.
It's not the pace....it's the experience.

...and man caves everywhere are getting a fresh coat of white plastic snow shavings.
How about an extra snazzy mod? Can we trim 'em a bit, stich perferate them along one edge in a double line and then hand stich them into the hem next to each tien out point? Would never have to worry about loosing them that'a way.

I wonder could you make something similar out of cut up milk carton plastic. I bet it wouldn't be too flimsy and would be easy to work with.
This thread was a great read. 2 great ideas, confused gender, stolen thunder, begging. It's all good!

redmarbleshoe, sorry, I should have known by your font. My bad!
Make all these you want. I was joking of course about the patent. It's not like this is a new wheel or anything. The stuff sacks are very cool and the sewn in pockets are even better. If I could sew, that would be my choice but my tool of choice is a Dremmel.
bhancock, I don't think a milk carton would be hefty enough. I think it would fold when in the stuff sack and the line could come off. You could try it though and let us know. If I were anywhere near Atlanta, I'd go to McMaster's-Carr and buy some sheet plastics for a few dollars and get exactly what I want.
Yes, this type plastic is soft enough that what I get are hot splatters of plastic that sling off and stick to my hand. That is fun!
I like your mod idea. I had thought about adding a female snap on the Gumby and the male on the tarp but figure they were too heavy and didn't have a tool (whatever those tools are called). I think once I perfect these, I'll go with a single hole instead of the J slow and permanently install these by running the line through the hole and putting a half or double hitch to keep it in place.

I have used this "dogbone" idea, made out of credit/ID type cards for earbud cables. One issue was making sure the edges are not sharp at all as this will wear on the lines. Ultimately ditched the idea because I just love coiling line/rope, makes my feel like a toy sailor - all proud of my perfectly coiled 1/16" line
