I have used a Clark NX-250 for 10 years, and love it, no problems. I recently bought an 11 ft. standard gathered end hammock (absolutely no point in naming names, as the physics should be the same for all?). I was having H**ll getting my hang right, so I thought I would check out the "Hammock Calculator". My tree distance is a measured 15 ft, and I think that is the distance I have always used. When I used the calculator with the distance of 15 ft., weight 225, and hammock length of 9.5 ft., and compared to the hammock length of 11 ft., the ONLY variable that changed was the suspension length...and that put my butt right almost on the ground, even worse with the 11 footer. Any ideas what I have screwed up?
