Have a look on ebay for (basha poles) or you can buy a wooden broon stick and cut to size and make a split each end for hammock line to slot in.
Out of intrastate whatbridge hammock you got, did you DIY one?

never thought of basha poles, cheers. Its a diy one ive been designing, not built it yet as waiting on materials.
Making your own pole set isn't so difficult. I'd list a few sources for the raw materials but they'd be in the US.
You buy the poles - given a few diameter choices; the lengths are usually around 18 inches. You can specify if the pole is hollow or has an extension insert at one end. You want one end piece to be hollow so it mates with the previous piece at one end and you put an end "cap" on the other end. You can buy an inexpensive "cutter" for the aluminum poles and make them the length you want. Once you have the poles, you thread them together with bungee cord.
I'm admittedly lazy. If I know the poles are for a specific product that has a known/fixed-length requirement. I probably buy the (first) ready-made set. And I'd use Ruta Locura for carbon fiber poles. But I did build a few aluminum sets myself.
Note that I am talking about external pole mod weight poles - not spreader bar poles for a bridge hammock. Those would require a bit more science to make sure they'd handle the compression load.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
Thanks for the suggestions cougar. turns out a have pole sets from an old cot bed that are good and sturdy that i can cut down and use.Cheers.
