    Mayan Hammocks Online?

All you hangers that didn't go down south to get your Mayan hammocks, where did you get them and do you like the quality?

With 80°+ night time temps I'm sleeping outdoors in my Mayan that a brought back years ago. It's a little loose (great when I was packing it around back then, being that it was lighter) and not the most comfortable Mayan I've had. Plus I don't really like the colors.

Having always gotten mine while I was down there, and could put hands on what I was about to buy, I'm concerned about getting one online that's up to my standards. I really like a good tight cotton weave w/ a good amount of threads. I don't need a Familia, or even a Matrimonial, but a lot of threads in a smaller bed.

So, who vending the good ones now a days? Somebody's got to know.

This will get you pretty close to the mark, otherwise you will probably have to contact some of the Adventure Travel companies which operate within the borders of the Amazon Rainforest to get a vendor list of hammocks.

    or, from Amazon

    I highly recommend https://www.seasidehammocks.com/prod...7&cat=5&page=1 .
The signature Tommy Hammoca Queen Mayan is what you describe. If you don't like any particular color or pattern, there is an option to customize for a small fee. Tommy will really work with you to get what you want. All his Mayans are woven by Indigenous persons.

I've looked at that site before and liked how they talked about the ones they sell, nice to know that you're happy w/ not only their hammocks but that particular one as well. It is the one I thought would fit best for my needs.

You feel like it's a nice tight weave? How long have you had it and do you use it nightly?

Lately I've woken w/ my toes sticking through the weave of my loosely woven one.

I know the feeling of toes through the webbing! I got that with my first Mayan. I've been sleeping exclusively in hammocks for nearly four years. I've slept in a Tommy Hammoca Grande for a year. I just purchased a second, ordered on the 8th and received today, the 11th. As counterintuitive as it sounds, I do recommend going with the Grande instead of the Queen. With Mayans, bigger really is better and doesn't take up any additional space.

A couple photos to show the weave. Again, this is the Tommy Hamaca Grande.
