The thing about hammocks is that suspension options are many.
Everyone seems to like something different. We put a lot of trust into what holds us in our deep and golden slumber.
Here is my playlist of suspension options. Galore......https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL...RN4_MaZ8UAyzWm

I went with Derek’s Hennessey tip #61 on page 154 and replaced the ropes with a continuous loop. You can get an amsteel or other material continuous loops from Fugal Innovations pretty cheap. https://www.fugal-innovations.com/

I should add that I have not bought one yet as I just used a piece of cord I had and figured I would replace it when/if it started to show signs of wear. It has worked fine.

with the atlas straps you should not need to tree straps. Though I will say there are lighter options. The daisy chain is pretty easy to use but you can lose close to a pound with becket straps. Or a woopie sling if you you really do not want to learn to tie the becket hitch. I am fine with the knot but am about to try out a whoopie sling when I pick up my next hammock. Which will hopefully happen tomorrow. I would be fine without the knot as well but I went on a weight reduction binge for a bit. Now adding things back.
