    Underquilt Protector instructions

Hi all. Just got some Warbonnet gear, including an Underquilt Protector. Unfortunately, my dog tore up & ate part of the instruction slip (titled "Underquilt Protector" and starts "Install on a hanging hammock by first..."). Can anyone scan or take a pic and post? Thanks. (PS Hammock etc not eaten by dog, just some of this small slip of paper)

Thanks. Still hoping to resurrect the piece of paper if anyone has it. Felt like I was putting together the dead sea scrolls last night: IMG_4083.jpg

I really wish I had a comeback for that bit of brilliance.

Drop an email to Brandon - I'm sure he can send you the directions.

Or instructions might be available via a .pdf file off the website. But there really isn't much to it. You just hang the UQP off the hammock suspension. Add an S-biner at the head end (the UQP is usually symmetrical) to connect the UQP bungee to the Amsteel coming from that end. Do the same at the foot end - but depending upon the length of the hammock and UQP bungee you may need to connect the bungee further along on the hammock's foot end suspension or, via knots, shorten the bungee suspending the UQP.

It doesn't have to be snug but you don't want it on the ground either. Note that the UQP job is to cover the UQ, not necessarily the whole hammock. So there might be some "hammock" beyond the end of the UQP.

What puzzles me is I thought they were around $30 when 2QZQ was making them out of their own shop. I think they are a bit more than that from Dutchware and WarBonnet.

Now that I've read a portion of your "scrolls" I see a reference to "zipped". So I guess the newer models can be zipped on.

Geez, all my info is becoming obsolete. Is that a "sign" that I'm supposed to buy new gear?

In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

I'm no help on the instructions as I'm not at my house, but it's pretty simple if not zipping into the bugnet: just tie a loose knot on each end, make sure the logo is on the head end. I personally prefer not zipping it into the bug net, so there's a little bit of work on those elastic bands at the end that I don't quite remember.

Thanks all. I'll send an email to Warbonnet, and then post the written instructions here.

(In my earlier posts, I see I wasn't being very clear at all: I think I know how to put it on... I just wanted to "undo", or perhaps "un-doodoo", the damage.)

    Underquilt Protector

Install on a hanging hammock by first tying the ribbon ties on the end of the UQP around the base of the hammock
suspension using a shoestring knot. If you wish, you can stop here.

If you want to zip the UQP directly to your XLC net or winter top, first disconnect the micro carabiners on the end
of your top, then proceed to unzip one zipper from the hammock body and then zip it onto the UQP, then move onto
the next zipper until all 4 zippers are attached and then re-attach the 2 micro biners. Going one zipper at a time
always leaves the other 3 attached to something and does a good job of holding the top in place during the install.

Well dog-gone-it, CaptainGravity, I was barking up the wrong tree.
