Hello,

60 year old Corporate pilot from Coastal SC.

Started Camping with my wife a few years ago in an older airstream travel trailer at state parks. Noticed hammocks and thought that looked fun!

Right now I’m thinking: Lounging, napping, reading etc. but could expand to sleeping outside on cooler nights or having kids/grandkids using them with us.

Thinking about a Dutchware Chameleon setup with bug net and tarp. Would like to buy right the first time…. I like the Palace tarp with ends but it’s even more $$ At this time, weight is not a huge factor as I won’t be backpacking with it.

btw, 6’3” 200 lbs.

Welcome from Texas! My wife and I started out tent camping then moved to a 5er (we're in vacation in it now),but I hammock camp with my two boys (9 & 14) at least a dozen times a year. I used a Chameleon for the last 2 years or so and have been very happy with it. I'll never buy another hammock without a bugnet!
