+1 for the Fugal buttons -- work great and out of the way. I also like his tree straps.

I have been using the furniture buttons from Home Depot that VanillaPoltergeist suggested for a few years now. They are inexpensive and work well.

It depends of the RR model - old or new. The old model can use what looks like a section of bicycle inner tube that ArrowHead sells. Or you can DIY with an old bicycle inner tube. For the newer model where the pins go through the Amsteel, the Fugal buttons work well for me.

Note that those pins can be different diameters depending upon the source. The pins on the poles supplied by RSBTR for their bridge DIY kit are about 7mm and the pins on the newer RR poles/bars are about 4mm. The older bars are about 5mm.

In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

I have some from arrowhead equipment that work great, I go them when I ordered some ridge runner under quilts from them, along with some glow in the dark zipper pulls.

Ten minutes after I posted this I get a notification that they were delivered. That was incredibly fast - I ordered them on Friday. Guess I'll be trying them out this week! I should post pics, no?

I simply took the posts on a belt sander and rounded the head of the pin. Smooth and round with no need to use anything on it.
Some days I can't tell whether I found a rope or lost a horse...

Other than some goofy looking 3D printed endcaps that I've seen on someone's YT channel is there anything that you have used to protect your tarp from the spreader bar impacting with your tarp?
Just got these in the mail today. I won't be able to put them on until after the 4th of July unfortunately, but looking forward to using them. Fugal buttons for the win

Here's a simple and cheap solution I found to protect my Warbonnet ridgerunner spreader bars from punching holes in my tarp. I picked this pack of four (4) up at my local Lowes for $1.50. I have the new updated corner version from WB so the AHE protectors will not work.protector.jpg
