    Hello from Texas

Hey there, just wanted to say hi to everyone. I've been lurking around for a while mooching off everyone's advice. Got into hammocking a few years ago when we moved back out to the woods NE of Houston. I ran across one of Shug's videos and the rest is history.

I also drink a LOT of coffee.

    Hello from Texas

I enjoyed watching some of Shug’s videos of making coffee, reaching from hammock to ground to heat water and make coffee. Then Shug would (still in hammock) scoot back a bit and sit up enough to enjoy his coffee in the comfort of his hammock.
I’ve been too skeeerd to try coffee in hammock. Skeeerd might ignite under quilt or spill coffee in hammock.
Lots of hammock campers in Texas!
A big shout out from Denton North Carolina to you!

Thanks for the welcome! My wife and I have coffee and cigars from the hammock whenever possible. VERY carefully, that is. I just picked up one of the little Schwarze Biene tables and it's a game-changer for both of those activities.

Joya de Nicaragua Antano (Nicaragua wrapper/filler/binder) paired with the Medaglia D'oro Espresso Ground Roast the coffee is Black-Bitter-n'Burnt...Smooth.
Inch long ash will drop suddenly... stick to sitting at the table.

I've had the cigar, but never the coffee. I have to get some and actually try it out one of these days. I started buying green and roasting at home about 6 years ago and haven't hit the bottom of that particular rabbit hole just yet. As for cigars and hammocks, well, "Do not do what I do."
