    Shenendoah as under quilt

Just got the Shenendoah to use as a summer under quilt.

I didn't order the suspensions set because I had one like JRB uses.
When I put it on the hammock, there is no adjusting toward one end or another, and it might work fine that way, but I am thinking I will make a suspension set that will allow some fine tuning, using 1/8" shock cord I have.

The main question is, will the line lock 3 or the line lock light hold the shock cord, or should I use another cord, like zing it where the line lock is going to make the adjustment?

    Thanks
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Both my partial UQ and full length fuse 1/8 shock cord with line lock 3 at the channel ends and I like the ability to fine tune as well. Line lock 3 calls for 2.5mm to 3mm cord for best hold and 1/8 is around 3mm.

    Thanks Twistytee.
I thought the size would match, I just wasn't sure if the elasticity of the shock cord would keep it from getting a good bite.

I think it helps having some elasticity so when moving around in the hammock the UQ has some give. The line locks hold the shock cord just fine. I picked up a used Shenendoah this winter but haven’t had a chance yet to try it as a UQ. I’d be interested to hear how your suspension tweaks work out.

I used the Shenendoah one night in Linville Gorge.
It only got down to about 50 but I feel sure it will take me a little lower.

I attached line locks to each corner with 1/8" shock cord running to an S biner on the hammock's continuous loop.
It was again suggested that it is not a bad idea to add a slippery half hitch to be sure it doesn't slip.

    So far, so good.

I think the Master of Sector 7 demonstrates installing the Hudson River in this video. Should be the same for the Shenendoah.

All is good in Sector 7. I love Shug's stuff. The way he twists education with humor is amazing.

I have to remember to keep this in mind… I’ve never used any of my multi function quilts as UQ’s. Thanks for the update!
