Yes, Black Rifle instant coffee is the bomb.
Really good flavor. I drove TomTom back to his house after weekend backpacking in Uwharries.
I was getting drowsy. When we got to his house, he gave me an individual packet of Black Rifle coffee.
It was the consistency of snuff.
I ate the coffee right from packet and chased it with a few gulps of cold water. Was not sleepy on way home! Ha.
What does this have to do with hammock camping for me?
Usually I make a 47 ounce mega mug of coffee in camp. By the time I boil my 2nd 47 ounce mug, everyone else is finishing packing up. There I am,“that guy” last to pack up.
Next backpacking trip, I’ll just make one big mug of coffee. And eat the second portion of coffee, and chase it with cold filtered water.
Now I might order some of that same brand online.

Good to hear that Black Rifle gets the nod from Phantom!

For me, this coffee has the least — practically none, in fact — instant coffee aftertaste of any I've tried. Only Via and Alpine Start are remotely in the same league. If it was served at a restaurant I wouldn't know it's instant... recalling an old TV commercial. I think it was Taster's Choice, which wouldna fooled me!
