    Another DIY tensahedron

I built mine out of two 1 inch EMT poles and two 3/4 inch EMT poles. They were cut in half and slide into each other. They are held together with a captured pin. I weigh 280 and it supports me very well. The whole thing collapses into a bundle of 4 poles 5 feet long.

Thanks everyone for the inspiration. This works great to throw in the back of my truck for areas without trees.

Awesome! I've been thinking of building one of these - I have two Turtledog stands but sometimes both my sons go hammock camping with me to a new state park and we never know if the trees in the campsite will accommodate us. I've been reading some of the threads and trying to figure out the length of EMT pipes I need for my WBB XLC - I hope to build one soon!
    Is that a Mountainfly tarp?

Looks great! What's the spacer you are using between the poles to keep them from rubbing? Are you using the same thing on the bottom (foot) ends as well?
