3 generations on the Pinhotti trail

My dad and I are planning for a 2 week trip on the Pinhotti trail this December. I'm planning for my two oldest sons (12 and 13) to come along as well, so we'll have 3 generations hiking 160 miles together. All 4 of us are in hammocks. It will also be the first time spending more than ~4 days on the trail for any of us, so it should be a good experience. Will post more details as we get everything nailed down.

Can't wait to hear all about it! The Pinhoti is starting to get some love and the community around it is building. Be sure to stop in Heflin-I understand they really welcome hikers.

Have a great trip! I love the Pinhoti! (Mcdill point is one of my favorite places)
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
