Got back home after trekking into Uwharries, with two experienced hikers.
A most pleasant weekend jaunt. Good conversation, good coffee. What a blast!

With my “out to lunch capabilities”, a 10# pack would be the dream.
Me and my motorcycle rolled into camp about 12 noon Saturday. Didn’t see anyone from HF - I asked around - and got some funny looks and people asking “what’s hammockforums?”
Even though I didn’t connect with any of you, thanks for posting as the info in these threads on Uwharrie made my overnighter a great success.
Sunday saw some serious humidity and with the sun beating down on me I had to stop 3 times on my way home to get some water. Hope all the hikers took care and fared well.
This will not be my last visit to Yates.
