    Chair mode is great!

    Will the bugnet be removable?

How long is the ridgeline? One of the best things about the HT90 is the short distance between trees. Sorry the picture is so small and sideways???

If you get a chance I’d really like to see a pic laying down on top of a pad to see if it provides the lay flat structure.

I look forward to seeing more as you work on your design.

In addition, I have another design that I shared with a vendor this spring. They expressed interest and we communicated several times, but I have not heard back from them in a while. Of course, it is my hopes that their R&D team is assessing the design. I know that it takes a lot for a vendor to walk the sharp edge of actually bringing a product to market.

On edit: Apparently I was typing this post as you were posting the laying in a hammock picture and I didn't see it. It looks pretty righteous. Albeit, I still think my 'secret' design has some additional benefits of being adjustable, being able to use either a pad or UQ, and an added comfort measure to boot.
You've been teasing us for a couple years now. Maybe, you and Powerboil should come together on this. I'll nominate myself for testing

Yes I know and I'm not happy about the surreptitiousness of it all. Honestly the secrecy and big delay sort of makes me feel like the proverbial western "all hat and no cattle" kind of guy. But I press onward largely because I think the design has merit. Plus, apparently the vendors I've communicated with do too since they have expressed interest in the design. I've been clear with them that I'm not interested in monetary gain, but I would like a nod that I came up with this particular wrinkle. Largely, because I would like the satisfaction of having contributed something worthwhile to the hammock community. Unfortunately, the previous vendor didn't seem to have what it takes to move forward or to simply say it isn't going to work out for him. Plus, he requested I keep mum about it all for the two years he sat on it. This spring I finally had to say enough is enough and let him know that it was time to move onward. Hopefully the new vendor I contacted this spring is more forthcoming both in product development and communicating. Unfortunately, I think there are also a few who have the resources and prefer to capitalize on other folk's inventiveness and turn it into a buck or two. Not necessarily illegal but not exactly a principled approach to life either.

Depends the price I think, if they would be the same price as normal ones they can become more popular. Hammocktent from Switzerland was quite expensive (but worth the price). For people to start hammocking this type of hammock is quite good as you lay flat, can use your existing mat and even can use it as a tent. But if you have to pay more than 700/800 euro's for a complete set it will only attract a small group of aficionados.
