This is not exactly the same as what the OP was asking, but it fits under the same "Tensa Solo anchoring" category, so I figured I'd post it here.

I just got my Tensa Solo, and it does not appear there are any instructions showing how to use the Boomstakes with the webbing straps for the Solo (and frankly, the instructions on the website showing how to use the Boomstakes with cordage guylines leave a bit to be desired, too). Anybody have any tips or pics of this kind of setup?

In my video below at 2:54 in you can see boomstake set-up. I'm using amsteel but same technique would apply to straps. Best I can offer.

I have been needing an option like this to work with my Jeep.
anyone else with a roof rack tried this with a solo Tensa pole?

I was warned that the roof rack - if it came "factory" - might be held on by just sheet screws. Recall that the main purpose of the rack is to keep gear placed on the roof from shifting. So a potential 250 lbs (depending upon your size) pull might not have been part of the design spec.

I have a Yakama rack in the jeep. It is clamped to the rain/gutter guards above the windows. They don't make automobiles like that anymore. Before you put a lot of stress on whatever you are attaching the hammock line to, you might want to see how your anchor is attached to the roof.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
