I recently got p.o.'d at my lines and cut all the loops/eyes off the ends. I just have them tied to the webbing loop, with nothing but straight line hanging down.
Once at camp, unfurl the tarp, and since there is nothing to snag, the lines fall out smoothly.
For staking, I tie a marlin spike hitch into each line, slide in a stake as my spike, and push the stake in the ground. When removing stakes, just pull from ground slide the knot down stake. and 'pop' the spike hitch comes undone.
