New to Hammocks in So. Calif.

At first I will be using it in my backyard only.
Interesting that you mention the posts in the ground, I do have two that were recently put in for an awning that I'm not going to be using....so this gives me an option to consider. I do have a shed maybe 15 feet away from those poles and grass underneath.
Time to do some measuring.

Nice. For my shed, I cut a piece of 2x4 and screwed it between 2 studs in an "L" shape to give it stiffness. I then put a 3/8" screw eye into the piece of 2x4 that is on edge relative to the pull of the hammock. Probably over-engineered, but hasn't budged, even with two grandkids using a hammock as a swing.
