Someone on YouTube (Spigyver Backpacking maybe?) tested with a mattress with longitudinal baffles and found it kind of worked.

Speaking of that… I take it the Haven and Haven XL require the horizontal baffle mattress for structure? I’d love to throw a MegMat in there but suspect that may not work too well
the zenbivy sheet is a very adaptable and will fit a wide range of mattresses. I have the 25 x77 model and it would fit any thing I would guess from 23-27 wide to 75-80 long and between 2 and 5 inches thick.

That's one thing I have plenty of - wool blankets. Might give that a try.

Been looking at a number of tree hangs
Can you use different pad to Haven on I want keep cost down, may get hit with import tax too from US

    My List so far
Haven XL - Import tax & don't like the cocoon would drop the tarp. Also seems to alot sage then flat lay.
Amok Draumr - Looks a pain get in and out.
Tentsile UNA 1-Person Hammock Tent (3.0) - Three trees not two setup looks long.
OPEONGO AERIAL A1 - This looks to be winning don't know about price or any good.

Like learn more on Portaledge but have a big outlay £ climbing gear.
There a lot of Youtube videos of above Tent/Hammocks what Videos are genuine as most got free from company.

    Thanks

As to the pad for the Haven...it would need to be side to side baffles for sure. And fit the inside exactly for the best lay.
Here is mine on ground, on Tensa Solo pole and camping.

So if one was to use this system with a HavenXL you would only need the bed, it would not be necessary to get the Zenbivy mattress/pad

Correct… but if this is for the XL I believe you’d have to stick with what they call the zenbivy bed and not the zenbivy light bed. The light bed is only available for up to 25” wide mattresses while the regular zenbivy bed is available up to 30” wide.
