    Hanging in Wales

    Hello.

I have a trip to Wales planned and I'm going to do some hanging at Lone Wolf.

Anyone camped there? Suggestions for the best spot(s) for hammocks? Other tips?

And, any other places in Wales that are hammock-friendly? I see so many campsites but they tend to be in a big pasture. Great for tents - and caravans - but pretty useless for us hangers (and, no, I'm not lugging a stand).

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

The only place I've found that accepted me hanging (a few years ago) was just SW of Mt Snowdon in North Wales.

The campsite was at Llyn Gwynant although not sure of the dates youre looking at. It's not ideal & like you mentioned, the camping scene here seems mostly set up for tents, camper vans & caravans. However, they let me swing between a couple of trees on the edge of their site.

I only came on board here yesterday but have already started asking around to fing UK hangers that are interested in finding hammock-friendly locations for the chance of local meets here. If that gets rolling & I find anything that might work for you, I'll let you know.

    Cheers
