Hi all and greetings from Scandinavia! Born and raised in Norway, but living in the neighbouring Sweden.
I am a complete hammocking newbie. I have enjoyed many tent nights, but newer tried hammocking. I got my hammock last Monday and have spent 2 nights in it already. Well in my garden that is to try it out. It will definitively replace my tent for anything but the mountains.
The last two days there has been about -9 C and a slight breeze here where I live, so I was a bit concerned of keeping my warmth in the hammock using a -2 C degree sleeping bag. It wasn't a problem at all...the heat trapped in the -17C Wookie and a underquilt protector just kept me warm all night. I tried the bugnet first night and the winter top the following night. No issues with any, but noticeable warmer with the winter top. No issues with condensation either.
So I will roam around in the woods, and in here, to learn much more of hammocking from the masters themselves!
Yeah...due to being "slightly" heavier than need be, I need to be practical about things, so I got a double layered WBB XLC. Love it.
Thanks!
