    It's here a day early

So my Banyon came a day early and I had to set it up. Thank goodness I had a little bit of time before dinner, I probably would of gone crazy and yeah for later sunshine. I'll get it out to the park since my trees aren't close enough together to hang and my Turtle dog stands cross bar bent when I tried to lay in the hammock. I added an additional pole and that wasn't strong enough to hang from.
First looks I think it looks great, as far as the workmanship goes, fantastic. But I expected that since I already have a Chameleon. I need to figure out the bug net yet. It's looks to be a bit floppy in your face. When I get it up on some trees I'll figure it out. Also I'll play with my tarps to see if I can get them to work with it. They are both 11' tarps so we'll see.

Nice! Did it come with the bag for the spreader bars? If so … nice touch.

So about the bug net and structural ridgelines... I think they are structural in that they are intended to have a similar amount of tension on them as a gathered end hammock so that you know you've hung it right. I could be wrong, but I'd try changing the hang angle until there is a bit more tension on them. Also I've seen some owners of the previous version hang their head end higher than the foot end for some reason. You might also consider trying that.

Mine shipped yesterday and I can't wait to test it out!

I didn't get instructions but I'm gonna copy yours. Thanks for posting those. Been trying to get it set up proper and played with but I need to hit the park since none of my trees are close enough together for hanging. Turtle dog stands failed. I ran out of line for setting up my new tarps tie outs so I'll have to make do with para cord and such. I hope the Mountain Fly or the Zenon Hex will work with some tweaking. Maybe not the perfect backpacking scenario but usable until the funds are save to go with a big tarp.

You might be able to make the strings inside the sheathing work.

At 5:20 in this video you can see my Minifly over my Ridge Runner. It is doable.
You should be good to go.

Thanks for posting the video Shug. As usual a wealth of knowledge in only 14.5 minutes. And then a bonus music video too. I also bought the tie out poles so that info is gonna help too.
