Many years ago, I worked for Homer Sides Christmas Trees. Hard work at times.
There was another guy who worked for him who went by Wormy.
His arm was amputated, like the Amish guy, below the elbow.
He could out work just about any of us!

Raladd, I'm aiming at 11am, no later than noon on Sat.

I'll see yinz at Beech Camp.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

With good weather, I’ve decided to cowboy camp, no need to carry heavy tarp, if it ain’t gonna rain.
Also I’ll forgo my quilts, both top and bottom.

By wearing my red t-shirts, I’ll have no need for insulation. I’ve calculated the red color will keep me warm.

Finally I’m going to quit drinking coffee today!
That will save me weight of alcohol fuel, alcohol stove and coffee mug.

I figure that my resolve will get me through this weekend. Now my total pack weight is under 9 pounds. If you see me having a meltdown, I’d be so happy to drink some of your coffee, just for your peace of mind!

Eleven brave souls ventured into the Uwharries for a few days lollygagging, mostly true stories, and a magnificent campfire.
Every hang, I meet hammock creatures much smarter than me. This violates the laws of averages and elementary statistics.
Must be luck of the draw.
We got to cuss and discuss our world at large and see some of the latest hammock backpacking gear.

Several Old Pros had total pack weights between 12 and 15 pounds!

We got to meet some new and almost new hammock campers. They were new to us, but not new to hammock camping. We look forward to seeing you again at hangs throughout the year.

    Thanks yinz guys!

Thanks to all for welcoming me to my first hang — great fun, and beautiful hikes. You can’t go wrong with a big fire :-) .
