Got some Beetle Clips for 1" suspension strap.
Adjusting tighter is easy. Adjusting LOOSER is super difficult for me. Anyone offer advice?

Dutch has a short video at the bottom of the Beetle Buckle page re this. Have you checked it out?
Takes a bit of practice.
Try it without hammock hanging on it.
Watch 8:11 in my video below. May give some insight.

What Shug said...take the weight of the hammock off the buckle and it's much easier to loosen the strap.
I had to resort to unhooking the hammock. When there's zero load in it, it's easy. But the point is to make the process easy... loosening or tightening. Having to unhook the hammock Everytime an adjustment needs to be made is counterintuitive.

You don't have to unhook the hammock, just lift it a bit to take the weight off. If you find it too difficult to hold on to the bar, just tie a small cord loop through the hole on the upper plate and use it as a pull - like Warbonnet does with the webbing buckles:
Doing it by hand was a real PITA. I figured out I could put an aluminum tent stake into the hole and use it as a lever. Works perfectly.
