    3/4 UQ options for backpacking

I've migrated back to hammocks for backpacking and I'm looking to pick up a lightweight 20 degree 3/4 underquilt for use with a dutchware chameleon hammock. It's been a few years since I've purchased one. All my past under quilts have been from hammock gear and I've been happy with them. Just wondering if there are any other companies I should consider/look at.

...and do I go for a fun bright color or more subdued? Can't make up my mind on that.

I have a 20 degree full length from Hammock Gear and a 0 degree full length UGQ Outdoors. I have a 3/4" 20 degree JacksRBetter Greylock 3 that I really love for backpacking. I really like the baffle design on the JRB as I can easily migrate/shift the down due to the radial baffle design.

I really like the WB Yeti’s. No frills, just a nice short quilt.

Nothing cheers you up on a rainy day like bright colors.

Love my Yeti, not sure if it fits your hammock.

A while back I would have said color doesn't matter, but if every part of your setup - hammock, tarp, TQ, UQ - are all coyote brown, it's hard to find stuff inside. Some contrasting colors, not necessarily flourescent yellow, make sense.

I agree - I'm thinking of going bright red. I thought I read somewhere that the yeti only works with WB hammocks. Do you know for sure if that is the case?

I use my Yeti’s on all of my hammocks with no adjustments needed between them.

I have a HG Phoenix and a AHD Ridgecreek that work for GE and 90* hammocks. I also have a Exped short downmat and a Thermarest Trekker Torso for inflatables.

As stated above, the Yeti is easily used with other hammocks. It's the Wooki that may need some suspension mods to work with some other hammocks.

The only possible drawback re the Yeti is the lack of secondary suspension. Also, you may have to add some clips (or something) to keep a quilt like that one from slipping off to the side. THAT isn't unique to the Yeti.

My AHE Jarbidge has served me well for a number of years and is my go to underquilt for backpacking.
