Five Basic Principles of Going Lighter (not me... the great Cam Honan of OZ)

I could send you some of my pics hammock camping in the Netherlands but the Instagram account can’t be found

So this was my 2-night setup last weekend. Friday to saturday it was +1 degree C, with some wind. It took some time to get used to the hammock again.
Saturday morning when the kids were about to build their tents we had a big hailstorm, so that was a bit of a challenge. There were also some tents of the leaders that flew away, which was "interesting" to experience. No one hurt luckily.
The night was colder, it was -2 or a bit colder still, but not as much of a storm as during the day. Everything was dry, and I was warm (I did wear thermo clothing instead of just underpants as sleeping clothing, as I don't have any insulation on my body itself).
As you can see in the pictures, I used my underblanket. I also used the little carabiners to connect the sides together to shelter myself from the wind, which was a great success.
Here was my set up when I camped two weeks ago in Oklahoma with my dog…
(The small three sided wind break tent was his.)
