Just don't use an adjustable ridgeline with the Chameleon or the XLC. Or any hammock with an integrated net. Otherwise you'll damage either the net or the zipper. Or both. If not right away then long term because of more pull on the net than intended by the hammock manufacturer.

A slight modification to hutzelbein’s comment about an adjustable ridgeline … Often times, if it’s a GE hammock with a net, it has it’s own RidgeLine. Now, if by “adjustable” you mean adding your own outside the netting so you can establish a shorter distance - that would be fine. Just don’t replace the internal ridgeline. Same with a bridge hammock like the RidgeRunner. The hammock structure itself limits how far apart the netting can be pulled. But you can add an adjustable ridgeline outside the hammock - between the two apex connectors - to set them at a fixed distance.

In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

Same! When car camping i use a pillow. When backpacking i use my empty pack or my z lite sit pad. Not only did my comfort level go way up, the fiddle factor went down. I make sure my foot end is a bit higher than the head end, and that its at the right height for sitting in, and thats it.

OP you might want to try increasing the hammock tree strap angle to more like 35 degrees. You should notice a pretty good sag in your built-in Ridgeline.
Doing this on all my gathered end hammocks has ended all of my calf ridge problems even my warbonnet 10' blackbird which had the worst calf ridge problem for me.
