Rmcrow2, did you make the stands? Very cool!

How is the chair one set up? I don't see how it stays together. Ridgeline on top holding them from expanding out, correct? But how is the bottom set up? Pretty awesome!

Yup I make a fair bit of my stuff.
Garage is a Tensa stand.
I grab some branches, broomsticks, something and make one every so often when I am thinking about something.

Good for excuse for lounging in a hammock in the middle of a project.

I posted how I made both that tensa in the garage and the stand in my bedroom. Whenever you look at the one for the bedroom stand you'll notice I did not give anything but ratios because everyone needs to adjust everything to their own height.

The one in the garage I call a 5 minute tensa. I was trying to find the easiest quickest way to build one for one of my friends that is a new hammock camper and she is not in any way mechanically adept.

If you look at anything I've written you will also notice that I seem to have some sort of phobia about completely static systems with no shock absorption capability.


It appears obvious you share my like for lounging in a hammock when you're in the middle of the workday. Big thumbs up on that

Yesterday was my day off and she snuck out of work at noon.We shoed back to what we think will be one of our hanging spots and had lunch. Soup and sandwiches always taste better out in the winter.
