Santa brought me a RBTR underquilt kit for Christmas, and after practicing on various fabrics, and making a mesh ridgeline storage doodad, I cut the materials, and practiced some more with the remnants, and finally got it done.
I made it according to their instructions, I was going to do a clews suspension, but chickened out.
I put it up on the hammock stand this morning, and got it adjusted as best I could in 20mph winds, and laid down in for an hour.
No top cover, and with the breeze at 35*f, the 5.5oz climashield kept my legs, butt and shoulders warm.
If the temps weren't going down to low single digits I would give it a go tonight.
I am happy with how it turned out, and will post some pictures once the wind slows down some.
Already planning another, and I will be studying how @jellyfish attaches the clews to her underquilt.
Anyone on the fence about making one of these, you should give it a shot. It is not really difficult, the toughest part is getting started.
