I'm thinking of trying this with Tensa Solo poles. I've got one already, and the pal of mine who has another never uses his. Maybe I can get it back from him. Sure is a lot of gear to lug around, though, even on my Harley.

After a year of doing my own one and two pole hangs, as most of my time is in the desert southwest, I did buy a Solo. I've also gone from straps to dyneema UCRs. Still working on the best "for me" stakes, rebar was not it I just had them from my daily life same as the cam-lock straps I used.
I have no trouble packing the setup, and two Solos wouldn't make it much harder, on my Mtn bike or kayak.
At this point my favorite stakes, though I haven't gotten to use them much, are what's called sand, or snow, stakes. They pack well together, have a shape that I like, and are light. I've also started carrying enough so that I can put out four at each end if the terrain is soft.

Tensa Boomstakes are excellent and versatile ground anchors, in my experience, at least in the PNW terrain that I call home.
