Storing quilts with hammock in a snake?

I have a WB Ridge Runner with AHE White Cloud top and Ridge Creek under quilts. Synthetic. After I used it the last time I put it in a large snake I have as is, all together, and then just put the coiled snake in a large backpack. Not highly compressed, but not exactly loose as a laundry bag.

Could I store it this way without damage?

You probably could. I use a catch all sack which is basically a large snakeskin and just remove all the quilts and pillow when I get back from a trip to properly store them. If your snakeskin is large enough I don’t see why ya couldn’t store it that way though.

Thanks Saltfly. That relieves me of some worry.

Those catch-all sacks are made just for the purpose you describe. The one made by SLD is the first that comes to mind: https://simplylightdesigns.com/colle...catch-all-sack

That looks a lot like the one I've got. I think I may have gotten mine from Arrowhead, but I'm not sure. I really appreciate your input, guys. It's definitely a convenient way to store the whole kit and caboodle, especially where space is limited. And it makes it a breeze to set up.

I’ve been using a catch-all for a couple years, and you are correct about setup times and simplicity. I do mostly beach camping where I’m exposed to nasty sneaky thunderstorms. So before we leave to fish for the day I run the catchall over my whole setup and just let it hang like that under the tarp. Does a great job of protecting your sleep gear from the elements and the nosey critters.
