    Seen The Tammock?

Tent and hammock stand. Kinda sorta interesting.
Looks like it would be fine for the beach.
20 pounds so not for backpacking.
The actual hammock stand frame is only 110 inches. Sort of short.
Can't tell if it comes with a hammock. But don't think so.
A You Tube viewer of mine pointed it out to me. thought it was worth a look.
By the way...I don't have one and don't think I'll get one but thought it worth a gander.
    Thought? Huh?

The assembled part, looks like it could easily be repurposed into a movie prop.....I see some burly guys hauling around a princess

    Huh thats an interesting design.

I guess if you're car camping and already planning on bringing something like a Tensa or Tato stand all the time something like this could make sense. From their FAQ it appears it does come with a hammock included.

It looks both too short and too narrow for a good sleeping hammock. Cool concept though if you car camp somewhere without trees. Just out of curiosity, I'd like to see what they develop for the double version.

Eh, why not? I've seen worse attempts at something like that. It actually looks pretty well thought out. The price is right in there with other portable stands too.

    I concur. They did address a double...from website/kickstarter:
Is there a two person Tammock available?

The two person Tammock is still in development, but it’s one of our top priorities. Expect to see a 2-person Tammock on the market in coming years.

The concept is neat, but as you mention in at least one of your tarp videos Shug, what use are the walls aside from blocking out nature?

True....though I think that mosquito net may appeal to many folks.

As a car camper, I have been thinking of something similar to cover my TATO Stand. Looking at options from pop up canopies to a custom size winter tarp with a zipper door in the wide side. Guess the idea has some merit. The missus does like privacy.

    Best to you!

I'm still waiting for hammocking to get this easy. Some kind of super metal. T1000-ish.
