Cut a mouth slit and nostril holes and a lot of your face will be covered.
Pull your beanie down over your eyes. Get a balaclava. Add a hood.
Warm head.

I ended up pulling my buff down over my balaclava so that only my nares were exposed and that worked well.

When I go out on cold nights I usually toss a couple Hot Handz in my pack. More than once these have been enough to take me from chilly to roasty toasty when all the king's layers and the king's down would not, and they only weigh a couple ounces each. Another option if you have a non-metallic water bottle is to heat up some water (not to boiling) and pour it in your water bottle, then stick the bottle in your crotch. I'm not trying to be funny (okay a little bit), but most of your main arteries run close to the skin in this area so they can pick up the heat easily and move it to your extremities. Please be careful and don't burn your nethers and then say JB told you to though!
