    Double ended stuff sacks

I have a 11" DH Sparrow double layer and a double SLD Trailwinder UQ. Can I get a double-ended stuff sacks that will accommodate both so I don't have to re-rig the UQ every time? Dutch sells three sizes...not sure which would be appropriate. Thanks guys.

What's the temperature rating on the quilt? A 40° packs smaller than a 20° and so on.

A 20° UQ plus an extender to go to 0°, synthetic.

Is there much difference when using a sleeping bag versus a top quilt with one of these sacks? I understand some sleeping bags would not be good with this sack (Old flannel monsters), but anyone using it with a sleeping bag regularly?

    Best to you!

I have not used one at all, so no experience either way. However, you might just need the larger "winter" one. Maybe set everything up and measure the circumference of it? Also, the mesh version would have a bit of stretch to it.

I have the wider winter mesh version and think it would be fine with an UQ and sleeping bag. My 20 degree top quilt isn’t that much smaller than my down bag and it all fits nicely.

I sometimes use my pack as a stuff sack of sorts. Open the compactor bag in the pack, start at the middle of the hammock, UQ, TQ, and push it all in except for the straps. I then put everything on top of it so it’s compressed only as much as needed and fold the bag top over.

This is how I Generally move from one site to the next. It’s pretty easy, but I sometimes just put everything in its own sack just because it seems more orderly to me.

Of course, a fat double ended sack would work as well. Jared makes em and fast!
