I became a hammock-only camper around a decade ago after a duffel full of ground gear disappeared from storage. Had already enjoyed hanging and used the moment to place a decent sized order with ENO. Now I have a number of low-end gathered end hammocks stashed all over, but haven't yet splurged on (or fully figured out) the Dreamtm setup.
After years of skimming the forum semi-regularly, I finally took the step of registering before building out a hammock stand. Hours of rabbit holes has me drooling over the Tensa 4, but my first foray will likely be a diy tensahedron constructed from four downed trees. After that, I may be looking for a collapsible carbon fiber variant to take on a multi-week bikepacking trip...
Dunno how active of a contributor I will be, too many other hobbies/communities. That said, I'm looking forward to continuing to poke around and starting a thread or two when spinning up some projects!
I'll close with my well-worn hammock joke:
Q: What natural features make hammocks ideal in the PNW?
A: No dry and level ground, plenty of trees.
