I recently built the clear tarp from the DIY that David Garner put together. Seems to have held up well overnight. I'm hoping to test it out on a clear night in a low light pollution area.

Very impressive!
It'll be interesting to hear about how well it holds up. The 1.5 mil stuff is pretty tough.
The good thing about this material is that just about any tape is good for patching, if necessary.

Yep using the 1.5mil. I'll keep you posted after a bit of use.
Nice job on the tarp! I like the privacy of a nylon tarp, but now you have me thinking of ways to create a skylight/window.
