Has anyone tried it? I’m kinda itching to get the shoulder and foot areas on mine to kinda roll inward a bit and make contact. Totally not necessary IMO but if it worked like I’m imagining it would make a fantastic quilt even better.

I say it sure couldn't hurt. On this lazy-mans DIY wookie inspired UQ that I made I put knotty mods on it. See around the 2:15 mark for knotty mod info.
Good luck,

I just tied a half hitch on each side of my Wookie where it was extra loose. That pulled the sides in perfect for me
I afraid if I do the mod its gonna look WAY less refined than that LOL. Thats a good looking underquilt.
This has also crossed my mind, did you tie it directly using the fabric?
I don't know why Warbonnet doesn't put something there from the factory. Or maybe make it an option like on some of the Dutchware hammocks. Its a pretty well known situation from what Ive seen, even sewing some elastic ribbon into the hem or something would probably remedy it. In any case I regret nothing and would replace it instantly if something happened to this one, HAHA.

It's funny this topic just came up. I was playing around with my DWG Half-zipped yesterday, paired with a Scandinavian Wookie XL. I found that it made a difference how I positioned the hammock over the UQ when entering the hammock. If I just plopped my butt in willy-nilly, there were times when there was a lot of shoulder gappage. If I carefully lined up the hammock with the UQ so that there was plenty of loose fabric towards the outer shoulder side, I had better contact between the UQ and the hammock body and me.
But I agree fully, the WB system could use some tweaks. I'm thinking of sewing some little loops to the Wookie's edge so I can throw a Dutchware Gear 'Ridgeline Quilt Hook' up there and pull the edges of the Wookie closer that way.
I’ve just discovered there’s more sewing to this idea than I thought. Definitely do not want to mess up my UQ.
Initially I thought you just made two very small incisions in the hem channel and run shock cord to two small cord locks. Now I’m worried about abrading the material there over time, after seeing how folks seem to be using grogain or ribbon there. Hmmm.
I tied a teensy half hitch in the shoulder side hem just to kinda inspect it, but once I put weight on that it’s gonna be permanent basically. So I got scared and removed it.
Yes, I just tied the fabric together. I dont ever plan to get rid of it so I dont mind if it looks a little tacky.
I used to make the Twister underquilts (similar to the Wooki). I made a bungee solution to the quilts for a snug fit.
