Warbonnet vs. 2QZQ for UQ Protector

Hi y'all. I'm trying to decide which UQP to get for my Wooki XL. The warbonnet is more expensive and weighs a couple more ounces because of the zipper, but I like that it keeps the whole system together well, including keeping the bug-net "window" in tact. However, the 2QZQ may be easier to adjust as needed for particularly nasty wind.

I know a lot of people have experience with 2QZQ, but does anyone have much experience with the Warbonnet UQP?

I've used my Warbonnet one once or twice but normally use my 2QZQ one in most cases.
You can eyeball the Warbonnet one in the video below at 17:25 into the video.

Warbonnet vs. 2QZQ for UQ Protector

Food for thought from a XLC, wooki, and WB UQP owner:

    - weather where I’m using the UQP, we don’t have bugs and I leave the net at home
    - I sleep to the low 20s fine with my current setup, so haven’t looked into the top cover, which admittedly would be neat to zip right on
    - buuuut even if did do the top cover, it could zip onto the hammock right? and imagine not make that much of a temp difference

That being said my WB UQP is well made and I have no issue with it. Very handy for the wet ice slush we tend to have more of here instead of dry snow

I have the 2QZQ and it’s fine, does the job of wind break nicely. I’ve also seen the Warbonnet version with top cover in action on a Blackbird XLC. The integration seemed well done and the owner was pretty happy with the combo. In ~20 degree weather both of us were recording temps in snow in at elevation the Smokies and his readings were 5-7 degrees higher than mine. I’d say the top cover made a noticeable difference.

I have the warbonnet UQP and a hammock gear one (which seems similar in design to 2QZQ based on what I can tell from Shug's video). If you care about sight lines, the warbonnet UQP preserves the unobstructed view I get with my bbxlc+wooki whereas the other one looks kind of like the thumbnail you see on the shug video which means I can't really see out too well when I'm lying in there. Sure you can pull it away, but it'll work itself back up over time. It is warmer, though, because blocking the sight lines means it's also creating a wind break. So, I suppose there are times where I'd rather have one over the other. I'll eventually embolden myself to just not take one on a backpacking trip, but that'll be the trip it downpours.
