Absolutely! A stove is NEVER a replacement for the weather. Pack as you would like any other trip (clothing and quilts). It may be a bit warm settling down at first, but I'll put my TQ on the ground below me until I get cool.

Can you use charcoal instead of wood? And am wondering if charcoal burns as long a time as wood, in a hot tent stove?!?!

Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.

Please be careful of charcoal in an enclosed setting. The fumes from charcoal can be dangerous and cause you to become ill.

Yeah that's kind of dirty. Best to stick with seasoned hardwoods if possible. Coal if you want to try and melt out the stove floor!!

When I was in Korea, during a winter, there were often newpaper stories about people dying because they used a common charcoal heater in a closed environment. Just say’n.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.
