    Hello from The Netherlands!

Hi, my name is Erwin, 42 years old from Ede in The Netherlands. I’ve been hammock camping for quite some years now.

My weapon of choice is the Lesovik Draka jungle style hammock. Lesovik is a Polish cottage vendor who makes amazing gear. For insulation I’m using Cumulus (also Polish) Down under- and topquilts.

If you’re interested, I have a full hammock setup list over on Lighterpack.I’m not much of a hiker, even though my base weight would allow for it. I’d rather go into a nice place, setup camp and enjoy.

Recently I’ve been trying to get more people to join me on my hammocking trips. I have some guest sets I can use for that and I hope to get more people to enjoy hammock camping.

    Welcome!
That's an excellent looking setup you have there.

Anytime you want to fly Halfway Around the World I'll happily pack you off into my woods and go camping with you.

Especially in the winter, when you might get snowed in for a couple weeks at a time. It's always good when it's an out-of-towner you take out there, people aren't as questiony when you come back alone....

In a more serious vein I believe I've seen someone else from the Netherlands on this forum looking for people to go camping with them.
I also think one or two bikepacking forums I'm a part of are looking for people there.

Welcome! My parents are from Hillegom. I love that tarp you have. Where did you get that?

That tarp is a Lesovik Heksa, from a Polish cottage vendor. I got it through Mike from Tikaani Outdoor in the Netherlands. Great guy, lots of knowledge and more than willing to help.

Very nice set up you have! I am new to hanging, and still getting gear together. This is a treasure trove of information, I have spent hours reading and learning here.

I am so glad to see the Dutch contingent joining! Some of my dearest friends wonen in Den Haag. I have not had a chance to see them often, but the few times I visited have been enough for me to fall in love with the country!

I actually traveled near where you live one time. I visited the airborne memorials and museums in Arnhem. I am a former military airborne paratrooper, so that area is particularly meaningful to me.

I don't know when I'll be able to travel to the Netherlands again, but I certainly hope I can visit again before too much more time passes.

I looked at the website for those and they look like single hammock tarps and the one in your first post looks like a double hammock tarp, or is that just two of them put together. I could not see a seam so I thought it was a double.

    Bedankt

The gear in the photo is not just Lesovik. That tarp is an DD 3.5x3.5, the left hammock is a TTTM and the right is a Lesovik Draka. The Lesovik Heksa tarp is not in that picture.
