In 2 weeks the Palmetto State Hangers will be having their annual Fall Sprawl camp out and fund raiser at Santee State park (Primitive area). There will be camping, vendors, and a raffle. 100% of the proceeds will go to the SC State Parks "Palmetto Camp out" program - a program designed to take people who have never camped before, and introduce them to nature!
If you've thought about camping in hammocks, or are interested in upgrading your gear, or just need a few nights away in the woods, consider coming out!
Non members cost is $10 to camp, day visitors are free!
Schedule of events:
Friday:
7am - Coffee + breakfast until food is gone. Members bring it and the board cooks it.
5pm - how to build a campfire demo
6pm - Dinner (on Own)

Saturday:
(All day - Gearage sale, learn to splice AMM Steel -Hanging high hammocks) Other events to be added...
7am - coffee+breakfast until food is gone. Members bring it, and the Board cooks it.
9am - Ask your board members Come ask any questions you have or give suggestions.
10am - Basic wilderness first aid class by Roger Halmes
11am- Knotty Knots by Roger Halmes
12pm - Bannock bread demo by Tim Bond
2pm- Ridgeline and suspension demo by AJ Glenn (Phoenix)
3 pm- Raffle
6pm group pot luck Dinner- board members Cooks the meat.
7pm- Guided night time kayaking paddle with Blueway Adventures, LLC. Cost $15 your own kayak or $30 rented kayak.

Sunday:
7am - Coffee+ Breakfast
8am - Pack up
9am- Clean up camp
10am- Go home
