    „Dark Foliage Green“ Picture Thread

Hey guys I am currently trying to decide on a color for my new Superfly and I was wondering if anybody would be so kind to post pictures of their Dark Foliage Green Warbonnet tarp here. I‘m sure this will help quite a few people who aren‘t entirely sure what color to get so let‘s just make this a Dark Foliage Green picture thread where we accumulate pictures of Dark Foliage Green gear. Thank you

Here's my dark foliage green Thunderfly after a little rain. I'm using my trekking poles and some shock cord in the pull outs to give me a little more room. (click on image for larger view)

I think a tarp with a large tree trunk printed horizontally would be cool. :P I am interested in some of the forest green pics as well.

I don't have any pics immediately available, but I do have a Superfly in each color. I much prefer the dark green to the brown.

I don't have a tarp in Dark Foliage Green but I have an underquilt protector, top cover and a top quilt in that color. The keyword is dark. Unless you see it in bright light, it is hard to notice that there is green in it. This makes it hard to get a good picture of it too, but I really like the color.

I was expecting to see a pattern, then I realized that deep foliage green is a color, not a camo pattern. Showing actual colors on a computer is really a challenge. Your eye sees one color, the camera anothers. And printed material “make” colors using one palette while computer screens use a different one. People who are serious about their catalogs and OnLine stores invest a lot in gear that calibrates the equipment so it all shows the same as displayed at their location But they have no control over a viewer's monitor settings.

So …. the best way to see what it’s like is to ask the vendor for a swatch - Not the timepiece, the fabric sample. It would have saved me some time if I had done that. I ordered a rain kilt (NOT A SKIRT) from Dutchware in a camo pattern based on what was snown on their website. But the actual material was way different. I think it was because the photo of the actual fabric was reduced and the pattern looked more mixed instead of the larger blobs of color that it was. They nicely exchanged it. But to save that kind of experience, both for you and the vendor, ask them for a sample of what you think you want.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

Agree with the swatch. I bought the bacon pattern shorts as a gag gift. The colors were very washed out. He is obsessed with bacon. Not that there is anything wrong with that!
