Hello all,
I decided to take my hand to building one of the Tensahedron stands. Everything from this build except for the quick release pins and clips were purchased from Bunnings. I've used dyneema ropes to secure everything. There are four soft shackles at each end. I have four adjustable UCRs. One for the ridgeline, two are connecting the ends of the poles to the anchors and one is connecting the base of the poles together. There is also one fixed ridgeline at the top.
Poles
Each pole is telescopic and is made of three parts (sections). Two "Connect-it 25.4 x 25.4 x 1.2mm 1.2m Anodised Aluminium Square Tube" and one "Metal Mate 30 x 30 x 1.5mm x 1m Aluminium Square Tube".
Each of the drilled holes have copper grommets made with section cut from this tube . To make them I used this copper pipe flaring tool.
The poles that are on the ground are using these as stoppers.
Each of the 25.4 sections are capped with these.
Each of the three sections are secured with these stainless steel M6x35mm pins and these M1.8x35mm clips. Purchased from aliexpress not bunnings.
I've also created and 3d printed cam locks for each of the sections. They aren't required and they aren't weight bearing. I find them useful for alignment prior to inserting the pins. They also remove some of the wiggle in the telescopic poles. If you would like to 3d print your own here are the 3d files.
Ground Anchors
The ground anchors are these 32cm screw type.
