I made a hammock pergola. I'm feeling a bit pleased with myself.

Made from 99% reclaimed materials (the bolts and screws were new).
One of those uprights is a stump and will need replacing in a few years. I'll keep a close eye on its condition. The other is a section of trunk from a black wattle that blew over in a storm last year. Moving it and getting it into position (by myself) for cementing in place was an exercise in patience and mechanical advantage. I estimated it to weigh about 400-500kg. I actually did a test hang when it was just the uprights with no horizontal bracing so I'm satisfied with the integrity.
Now I just need a lounging hammock to complement my camping hammock(s) and sleeping hammock.
